The island of Brač, known for its natural beauty and rich gastronomy, hosts one of the most exciting culinary events in the Mediterranean – the „Pearl of the Sea“. This festival and competition brings together top local chefs, gourmets and global culinary experts to celebrate the rich flavors and traditions of the Mediterranean.

The organizer of this festival is the international association Kitchen Chefs of the Mediterranean and European Regions (ŠKMER) based in Split, and the festival includes a school competition, individual and team chef competition and a series of presentations and educations. Several thousand people visit the event, and festival participants come from over 30 countries around the world.
