Jelsa Trail

Jelsa Trail, a race that takes you through vivid green landscapes, olive groves and nature of the island of Hvar will take place on April 6th 2024. The race is following the route of Procession „Following the Cross“, the start of the race is in Jelsa and then passes through villages Pitve, Vrisnik, Svirče, Vrbanj, Vrboska and then heads back to Jelsa where it started.

The race is divided into three categories, short – distance race „Srdelica“ with a distance of 5 kilometers suitable for children and beginners, then a medium – demanding race „Škarpina“ with a distance of 13 kilometers and a slightly more demanding 20 – kilometers race „Šanpjer“.

The race is also special because it passes through Starogradsko polje (Stari Grad Plain) and its dry stone walls which are protected under UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. At the end of a race a snack with a traditional Mediterranean food wil be served and the Klapa choirs will perform songs for all participants.
